Buildings are the base entities that all work orders flow in to Easyworkorder for. Whether requests are for interior or exterior common areas, specific occupants, or for equipment, a building must be setup first. Depending on the version of Easyworkorder that you’ve signed up for, you can add commercial buildings, residential buildings, or a mix of commercial & residential buildings to your portfolio.

Occupants

Occupants (tenants) are your customer base. They reside within a building. A building must be setup first before occupants can be added. Easyworkorder automatically sets up special occupants called Interior and Exterior (used for common area issues, like an elevator problems or landscaping cleanup) when a building is created.

Equipment

Easyworkorder includes Equipment management and a Preventative Maintenance modules. If your company manages its building equipment & preventative maintenance in-house, these modules will be very useful for your company, saving you hours of management time.

Email Notifications

As part of its communication ecosystem, Easyworkorder includes the ability for employees to be kept abreast of where work orders are in their lifecycle. Establishing which employees should receive email notifications is done within a specific building. Setting notifications is accomplished with the simple flip of a switch, under the notifications tab within a building’s profile page.

Setting Access and Notifications for Employees

Without access to a building your employees will be unable to see the building in their building list, and they’ll also be unable to provide any support to it.

The notifications switch, when in the ON position, allow employees to receive notifications when new requests are submitted for a building and when there are updates for requests to the same building.

Adding Files

You may find it convenient to have various files specific to a building stored with the building for easy access later. For example, you may want to store and Emergency Evacuation Procedures file, or a Require Insurance for the building file, or maybe a Bike Pass form. Whatever they may be, you can add them from within the building profile.
